About Us
During the 2019-2020 Legislative session, House Bill 197 provided for the Office of Planning and Budget (OPB) to establish the Georgia Data Analytics Center (GDAC). GDAC helps decision-makers in the state by collecting and showing data, analytics, research, and insights.
GDAC's data governance committee oversees management by regularly reviewing data access, retention, and publication policies and procedures. It allows standardization of data definitions among and across state agencies and departments. It provides a collaborative platform for interagency data sharing in a secure environment.
GDAC continues to expand its data inventory and plans to build data catalogs, data dictionaries, and glossaries for the public data domains. These will be published along with data and analytics on GDAC’s website.
GDAC strives to present data in an easy-to-consume format for a fast, scalable, and secure data analytics, reporting, and research platform.
