GA APCD All-Payer Claims Database

All-Payer Claims Database (APCD)

GDAC partnered with the Office of Health Strategy and Coordination (OHSC) to host the Georgia All Payer Claims Database (APCD) established by SB 482 in 2020. GDAC built the Observational Health Data Sciences and Informatics (OHDSI) platform to enable large scale health data analytics. As the administrator for the APCD, the Georgia Technology Research Institute (GTRI) leveraged this analytics platform and published APCD public data here.

Health Care Workforce

Health Care Workforce

GDAC obtains healthcare workforce data from the Georgia Board of Health Care Workforce (GBHCW) and the Office of Emergency Medical Services and Trauma. This data assists in understanding diverse healthcare workforce needs within Georgia communities.

Medicaid Data

Medicaid Dashboards

Medicaid drug utilization data and health care quality measures are obtained from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). These data are updated quarterly or as data is made available.

State Health Benefit Plan (SHBP)

SHBP Dashboards

The State Health Benefit Plan (SHBP) is a division of the Georgia Department of Community Health (DCH). It serves as the state’s administrator of health insurance coverage for state employees, teachers, public school employees, retirees, and former employees, and covered dependents. These dashboards examine enrollment trends, prescribed medications, and diagnosis.

Hospital Transparency

Hospital Transparency

This dashboard allows users to explore hospital and patient care facility funding and expenditures. As required under O.C.G.A. §§ 31-6-70 and 31-7-179.1 and other regulations, the Georgia Department of Community Health administers a data survey. Reporting requirements were expanded in 2019 (HB 186 and HB 321) to increase hospital transparency.
